South Sudan Honors Former Kenyan President Mwai Kibaki.

President Kiir has announced a three day national mourning in honor of the president Mwai Kibaki. The president declared the national mourning in the country and order the nation’s flag to flying half-mast.

The president conveyed his deepest condolences to the people of republic of Kenya on the death of former President Emilio Mawai kibaki who passed away on 22nd  April.

President Mwai Kibaki met President Kiir in 2010 where he declared a Kenya support toward peace implementation in Sudan.

His legacy will remain in the heart of East African community he will be remembered by the roles he played in the region.

President Kiir acknowledge the roles played by the Kenya’s former head of state in supported Sudan’s comprehensive peace agreement which brought independence of South Sudan. the president who announced three days mourning, in respect of his counterpart this also expected to go to Kenya’s capital Nairobi for the burial function of late President Mawai Kibaki.
